NFA

CFD for Ship Resistance | CFD for Ship Motions and Maneuvering | LES-DES | FVM

NFA (Numerical Flow Analysis) is a fortran code and solves the Navier-Stokes equations utilizing a Cartesian grid cut-cell formulation with a second-order accurate, volume-of-fluid (VOF) interface-capturing technique to model the unsteady flow of air and water around moving bodies.

Turbulence is modeled with an implicit subgrid-scale model that is built into the treatment of the convective terms in the momentum equations. A domain decomposition method is used to distribute portions of the solution domain over a large number of processors.

Operating System(s):
  • Linux
